Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Graduate student is familiar with basic principles of bioelectrochemical processes, models of real systems and methods it´s identification. Student is able to measure and evaluate impedance measurements of tested systems. Student knows basic principles of biosenzors operation, electrochemical principles in bioenergetics.
Course contents:
Definition of basic notion in bioelectrochemistry
Phase interface, electric double layer, adsoprtion
Basic electrochemical techniques
System ipedance
Interpretation of electrochemical systems by equivalent circuit method
Diaphragms and membranes, models, thermodynamics, transport, electrochemical mambrane processes
Basic principles of biosenzors
Electrochemical applications in medicine and biotechnology
Drugs transport
