Prerequisites for registration: passed Fundamentals of General Microbiology (N426Z0_4B) and passed Fundamentals of Biochemistry (N426Z1_4B)
 
Assesment methods:
Students will write test during the semester. The sum of points for the test is 20. Students will successfully pass the test if they earn at least 12 points. Students will get credits for the course if they successfully pass both, the written test and the oral exam. Students are graded as follows: A 48-52 points, B 43-47 points, C 38-42 points, D 33-37 points, E 28-32 points.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students know specific products focusing on the pharmaceutical, medical and therapeutic properties of numerous biopharmaceutical products.
They have learned microorganisms to create pharmaceuticals.
They understand technological procedures for the commercial production of some microbial products (antibiotics, immunomodulators, enzyme inhibitors).
