|It is neccessary to be present at all the exercises - a justifiable absence must be substitute. The requirement is to develop the herbarium (80% of the evaluation) and the determination of plant items (20% of the assessment). The student earns credits if he earns at least 56% points from the summary and individual parts. The final grade is rated according to the grading scale of the SvF STU.|
|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|After the end of the educationl process, student is able to recognise different vegetation species based on selected characteristics . Student will understand the relationship between the plants and the environment and will be able to apply this knowledge in garden design and landscape architecture.|
|Basic concepts, morphological features of plants, principles of herbarium preparation for credit.
- Overview of selected families, characters, genera, species.
- Plant communities and relationships between plants and environment.
- Working with herbarium and live items, recognition and determination of species by using the requisites.
- Groups of indicator plant species.
- Plant recognition in the field
