Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will learn basic facts about classical ciphers, statistical properties of languages, and deciphering methods, including fundamentals of modern cryptography.

• Classical ciphers,
• Mathematical interpretation of classical ciphers,
• Properties of languages,
• Deciphering of basic types of classical ciphers,
• Mathematical foundations of modern cruptography,
• Symmetric ciphers
• Assymetric ciphers.
