The completion of study and evaluation of the knowledge level are expressed as a percentage range: 92-100% of knowledge - A, 83-91% of knowledge - B, 74-82% of knowledge - C, 65-73% of knowledge - D, 56-64% of knowledge - E, 0-55% of knowledge - FX.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will obtain knowledge about the particulate materials properties, the boundary equilibrium of the particulate materials and the operations performed in the equipments for processing of the particulate materials.
Course contents:
The basic notions about the particulate materials and mechanical properties of these materials.
Particulate materials tenseness - the limit line, the limit equilibrium in the plane, the active and passive state of the limit equilibrium.
The particulate materials agglomeration - the theoretical foundations of agglomeration, the work principle of the agglomeration equipments and their using.
Disintegration of the particulate materials solid particles - the theoretical foundations of disintegration, the work principle of the disintegration machines.
The particulate materials sorting - the theoretical foundations of sorting, the manners of sorting, the distribution characteristics of the particulate materials.
Mixing - the theoretical foundations of the kinetics and energetics of the homogenization, types of the homogenizators and the work principle of the various types of the homogenizators.
The particulate materials storage and manipulation - the tenseness state of the particulate material in the storage, design of the particulate materials storage, the transport systems.
