|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Student will obtain knowledge about fundamentals of physiological processes running in human organism, about their mechanisms, dynamics and their mutual relations. Student will obtain also knowledge about mechanisms of pathological processes development conferring to origination and progression of diseases that with high incidence are involved in morbidity and mortality in SR.|
|a. Fundamental principles of cell physiology; stem cells and differentiation; cell signaling from the view of human normal and pathological physiology. Carcinogenesis, genesis of neoplastic cells and development of neoplastic diseases.
b. Blood and hematopoietic system; malformation of oxygen and glucose distribution; hypoxia and ischemia.
c. Immune system functions in healthy individuals; malformation of immune system conferring to diseases development, infection diseases, prevention and therapy.
d. Cardiovascular and respiratory system in normal condition, development of pathological situation in cardiovascular and respiratory systems; possibilities of prevention and therapy.
e. Gastrointestinal system; nutrition and metabolism; substance exchange, malformation of metabolism and associated diseases.
f. Nervous system, structure and principles of operation. Etiopathogenetic factors of nervous system disorders.
