Assesment methods:
A necessary condition for passing the course is participation in all exercises (max. Two absences will be resolved by instructor, further absences will be resolved by Vice Dean for Education)
The minimum percentage of the total assessment 55.9%.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim is to learn the terminology associated with the safety of the working environment, to be able to analyze the condition of the working environment, resources to health and human burden as a result of action of physical, chemical and biological agents at work, and then propose effective measures to improve safety.
Course contents:
1. Importance of safety engineering in technical practice
2. Basic concepts, Introduction to Risk Management
3. Hazard and operability study (HAZOP)
4. Risk Assessment techniques according to ČSN EN 31010
5. Legislative requirements for safety, generally non-binding documents.
6. Failure modes and effects analysis (FEMA)
7. Non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation
8. Illumination as an important factor in the work environment
9. Event tree analysis (ETA)
10. Ionizing radiation
11. Noise and vibrations
12. Fault tree analysis (FTA)
13. Determination of the required safety integrity level according to EN 61511-3
