Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student gained the necessary knowledge and skills and acquired the latest scientific knowledge from the chosen field of specialization Microelectronics and Photonics, which includes the open scientific problem, which is the subject of dissertation.
 
Course contents:
The contents of the subject are the following topics of the study department:
• Technological processes of microelectronics and microsystem technology. Advanced micro- and nano-electronic structures and elements. (Prof. Daniel Donoval, DrSc.)
• Electrical diagnostic methods for the characterization of semiconductor structures. (Prof. Alexander Šatka, PhD.)
• Methods of analysis of surfaces, interfaces and thin films (Prof. Juraj Breza, PhD.)
• Optoelectronics and optical transmission systems. Integrated optoelectronics and photonics. Lasers and laser systems. (Prof. František Uherek, PhD.)
• Sensor structures and elements. Microsensors and micromechanical systems. (Prof. Ivan Hotový, DrSc.)
