Final written exam 100 points, to obtain a rating Pass at least 55 points.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will gain knowledge of importance of polarization curves in analytical electrochemistry. Student has knowledge of electrochemistry at ultramicroelectrodes and at ultramicroelectrodes arrays. He knows scanning electrochemical microscopy, spectroelectrochemistry and electrochemical imaging. Student has knowledge of electrochemical preconcentration. He gains knowledge of new electrode materials, chemically modified electrodes and use of (micro) electrodes in miniaturized and automated systems.
He has knowledge of electronic noses and tongues.
Course contents:
Importance of polarization curves in analytical electrochemistry.
Electrochemistry at ultramicroelectrodes.
Electrochemistry at ultramicroelectrodes arrays.
Scanning electrochemical microscopy.
Spectroelectrochemistry and electrochemical imaging.
Electrochemical preconcentration.
New electrode materials.
Chemically modified electrodes.
Use of (micro) electrodes in miniaturized and automated systems.
Electronic noses and tongues.
