|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Student acquires knowledge about historic photographic techniques, chemical composition of materials and chemical processes determining formation of black-and-white or color photographic image. Student is informed of hand-coloring and toning of photographs, knows basic identification principles.
Student is acquainted with basic priciples of historic as well as contemporary printing techniques.
|Basic principles of black-and-white and color photography and its processing.
Review of historic photographic and printing processes.
Hand-coloring and toning of photography.
Reverse photographic materials.
Identification of historic photographic techniques.
History of typography.
Historic recording materials (papyrus, parchment, paper) and recordig media (dyes, inks).
Establishment and developement of classic printing techniques. Book printing.
Lithography. Intaglio. Offset. Flexography. Serigraphy.
