Assesment methods:
The student must earn at least 56% of the overall achievement for the successful completion of the subject, which consists of the continuous assessment (20%) and the final assessment (80%).
The student will be able to complete a maximum of one of the tests (13th week), taking into account a better assessment. Students can obtain a maximum of 20 points from the two tests.
The final grade consists of passing the final exam, while the student can get a max. 80 points, the exam will be written.

The necessary prerequisite for attending the course is to participate in all exercises (max. 2 absences to be dealt with by the trainee, others to be dealt with in the curriculum for education), submission of all protocols, semester papers or presentation of the required quality.
A student who fulfills all the necessary conditions for completing the subject gets a "credit" and can enroll for an exam.

The final score is given by the sum of the continuous assessment and the test evaluation as follows: A = 100 - 92, B = 91.9 - 83, C = 82.9 - 74, D = 73.9 - 65, E = 64.9 - 56, FX = 55.9 - 0
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Objective of the course in terms of learning outcomes and competences The aim of the subject is to acquire the terminology connected with safety and health at work, to inform the students about the mission and the significance of health and safety at work, especially in the technological process and to get an overview of the relevant safety regulations and the way of their search and processing. The student will acquire the knowledge to describe the state of the work environment, the sources of health damage and the human burden as a result of physical, chemical and biological factors in the working process.
Course contents:
Lecture content:
1. Introduction to the subject. Definition of key concepts in the field of health and safety at work.
2. Key indicators and legislative aspects, their harmonization in the EU.
3. Workplace safety and health.
4. Principles of prevention and basic conditions to ensure safety and health at work.
5. Machine safety and risk analysis.
6. Hazard identification, risk analysis of employee activities.
7. System of technical, organizational measures and allocation of PPE according to hazard, threat and risk assessment.
8. Accidents, occupational diseases and other occupational injuries.
9. Organization and performance of state supervision of safety and health at work.
10. Occupational health and safety and integrated safety system.
11. Effects of risk factors in working environment.
12. Categorization of works.
13. Technical means and other methods of health protection of employees.

1. Concepts and definitions of health and safety at work.
2. Methods and methods of risk identification.
3. Physical factors at the workplace (noise and vibration).
4. Physical factors at the workplace (microclimates, lighting).
5. Chemical Factors at the Workplace.
6. Biological Factors at the Workplace.
7. Personal protective equipment and allocation system.
8. Conformity assessment.
9. Work with flammable and explosive material.
10. Safety at work with electrical equipment.
11. Psychological well-being in the workplace.
12. Work with the display unit.
13. Work with loads.
