Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Within subject VS will be students knowledgeable of rigid and flexible engineering production systems. In the rigid, production systems will be discussed the questions of construction of automatic machining lines (transfer lines) composed of single-purpose machines, problems of transport workpieces and return transport of fixtures, performance and reliability. In the field of flexible systems will be discussed questions connected with the classification automated manufacturing systems for flexible manufacturing cells, flexible manufacturing systems and flexible production lines.
 
Course contents:
1.Automated machining lines
2.Machines in automatic production lines, in automated manufacturing systems.
3.Transport of workpieces in automatic lines.
4.Automatized lines with carrier and non- carrier boards.
5.Return transport of clamps in continuous automatic line.
6.AL with rigid, flexible between- machine linkage. AL divided into sections.
7.Single-flow, multi- flow lines lines. Serial and serial-parallel AL.
8.Performance AL.
9.Dimensioning the storage volume within the AL.
10.Flexible manufacturing cells.
11.Flexible manufacturing systems.
12.PVS- induction truck, pallet stacker, conveyor of system's pallet.
13.Flexible manufacturing lines.
