Assesment methods:
1. From the interim evaluation, the student can get max. 20 points
2. The student will be able to complete one of the papers (week 13) for 2 continuous papers (7th week, 13th week - semester);
3. The student can get a max. 80 points, the exam is oral
4. The final score is given by the sum of the continuous assessment and the evaluation on the test as follows: A = 100 - 92, B = 91.9 - 83, C = 82.9 - 74, D = 73.9 - 65, E = 64.9 - 56, FX = 55.9 - 0
5. A prerequisite for attending the course is participation in all exercises (max. 2 absences will be dealt with by the trainee, the other will address the prodekan for education)
6. A student who fulfills all the necessary conditions for abolishing the subject gets a "credit" and can apply for a test
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student has detailed knowledge of the field of combustion chemistry and combustion chemicals. He is able to describe chemical processes during burning and extinguishing and, on the basis of this knowledge, can estimate the process of burning and fire. The knowledge will continue to be used in the study of fire extinguishing objects and their properties, the theory of fire and explosions, safety engineering and fire safety of buildings.

- Physical-chemical bases of combustion
- Chemical properties of combustible substances
- Physical properties of flammable substances
- Diffuse and kinetic flame
- Flammability of materials. Ignition and self-ignition of liquids and solids
- Flammable properties of a mixture of vapors and gases with air
- Flammable properties of dust mixtures
- Burning of gases and liquids
- Firing of solids
- Accompanying phenomena when burning
- Environmental aspects of the burning process
- Physical-chemical principles of fire extinguishing
- Water as extinguishing agent. Water based firefighters
- Extinguishing agents in the gaseous state with a physical extinguishing mechanism
- Halogenated hydrocarbons in fire-fighting technology
