2 thorough tests - at least 56% score of each test are required.

Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students acquires knowledge in the field of quality inspection and defects detections in the frame of production technologies. Students acquires on overwiev about current analythic and defectoscopic methods of the production quality inspection. Students will be able to design a proper procedure for quality check of a particular product at a particular step of the production process.
Course contents:
The basic terminology. Definition and classification of product's defects as well as of the testing methods during the production process. Typical defects of castings, formings and welding joints. Visible and hidden defects. Defects of appereance and dimensions, surface defects and discontinuities - crackings and tearings. Methods of visual inspection, methods of dimensional inspection, the defectoscopic methods of surface and subsurface defects. Inner defects - cavities, metallic and non-metallic inclusions. Defectoscopic methods for inner defects test. Structural anomalies, incorrect chemical composition, testing mechanical properties of the product's material. Methods for quality checking and control of the production process.
