Criteria for success (percentage expression of the result at the assessment of course) are for the classification grades as follows:
a, A – 92 – 100%
b, B – 83- 91%
c, C - 74 -82%
d, D – 65 -73%
e, E – 56 – 64%
f, FX – 0 – 55%
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will obtain knowledge of the technical preparation of production molded parts. The knowledge will be at the level of design, technological and partly Technical Preparation of Production. The student will obtain knowledge of construction plastic moldings, forgings, dies and molds as well as the manufacturing processes for the production of dies and molds. Will have knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and applications of modeling and design documentation in the design and manufacture of dies and molds. Also give some practical experience in the construction and forging dies form solutions for specific tasks and form of practical laboratory exercises. After completing the course the student will be able to process design documentation (drawing components molded part drawing, drawing forming tool) with computer support, technological advances in production process.
 
Course contents:
• Allocation of and terminology, functions, applications., technological parameters, modernization and automation of TPP, TPP computer aided
• The determination of working conditions molded parts
• Design of production and technological processes
• The determination of working conditions forming tools
• Construction of molded parts
• Molds design - types of gating system, the dimensions of the cavity mold, mold making materials, life forms
• Production of molds for plastic injection
• Creation of forging drawing, design and stock material. Types and distribution of dies and die cavities
• Construction of dies, dies making materials, production technology dies
• Construction documentation in the design and manufacture of molds and dies
