Assesment methods:
Students will pass three tests for 20 points for each one during the semester. Students will successfully pass the tests if they ears at least 30 points. Students will also pass oral exam for 40 points. The maximum number of points required for the oral exam is 20 points. Students will get credits for the course if they successfully pas both, the written tests and the oral exam. Students are graded as follows:A - 92-100%, B - 83-91, C - 74-82, D - 65-73 E - 56-64, FX - 0-55% Student receives credit if the results were assessed by one of the classification grades from A to E
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students have the basic knowledge of fundamental principles of special methods to prepare advanced inorganic materials with emphasis on relationship between microstructure and material properties, basic thermodynamics and kinetics of high-temperature processes of sintering and molten glass formation.
 
Course contents:
Acquirement of knowledge and principles of the preparation of specialty inorganic materials. Demonstration of the relationship between microstructure and properties of advanced materials. Functional inorganic materials. Special methods for the synthesis of inorganic materials and their applications.
