Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Graduate student is familiar with basic principles of recycling processes for electric and electronics waste. Treating methods for organic, inorganic and metal parts of electric and electronic waste. He/she knows basic environmental problems conected with electric and electronic waste treatment and they are oriented in electric and electronic waste legislative.
 
Course contents:
Material composition of electric and electronic waste
Types and cathegories of electric and electronic waste
Treating and recycling of organic and anorganic parts of electric and electronic waste
Treating and recycling of metall parts of electric and electronic waste
Processing methods for precious and rare metals from waste
Hydrometalurgy, pyrometalurgy, bioregeneration
Environmental problems connected with electric and electronic waste recycling process
