Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The students should acquire a basic knowledge about theoretical and experimental backgrounds of spectroscopic methods employed in analytical laboratories
Course contents:
Basic course of spectroscopy with emphasis on atomic spectroscopy. The experimental background of spectroscopic methods will be discussed including detectors, monochromators, optical systems. The course includes the modern methods of trace analysis such as elemental mass spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma ionisation, rontgen fluoresctent spectrometry and laser spectroscopy.
