Written examination. Students are graded as follows: A 92-100 %, B 83-91 %, C 74-82 %, D 65-73 %, E 56- 64 %, FX 0-55 %.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student know fundamentals about methods for treatment and presentation of experimental results
 
Course contents:
Introduction to data evaluation in food technology
Statistical software used in food technologies ((types, basic functions)
Evaluation of one-dimensional data in food technologies
Evaluation of multi-dimensional data in food technologies
Correlation analysis and its application for evaluation results in food technologies
Principal component analysis and its application for evaluation results in food technologies
Cluster analysis and its application for evaluation results in food technologies
Discriminate analysis and its application for evaluation results in food technologies
Food authentication methods
Measuring errors (absolute, relative), measurement errors (random, systematic) in food technologies
Uncertainty of measurements (type A, type B, combined standard uncertainty, expanded uncertainty) in food technologies
Validation of selected analytical methods used in food technologies
