Assesment methods:
During the semester, students demonstrate their knowledge in written tests from the individual units of the curriculum. Frequency and timing of tests throughout the semester is governed by a pre-agreed rules. We recommend two written tests during the semester. If students achieve more than 56% success during the semester will receive graded credit according to proven success. Students with less than 56% success rate from the individual written tests, writing tests from all over the curriculum during the trial period.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will gain knowledge about the production of chemicals, intermediates used for the production of substances, materials and articles used in daily life, especially in the home, for cleaning, washing, disinfection, personal hygiene, flavoring, fragranced, packing, coloring, decoration, insulation, in the garden protection and plant growth, in the car.
 
Course contents:
The most important raw materials, intermediates and specialty chemicals, surfactants, disinfectants, wetting and antistatic agents, dyes, pigments, inks and toners, means the insulation, coating, to protect plants, pets and home against insects, animals and fungi, additives for plastics and rubbers to improve their properties against, aging and burning.
