|During the semester will be held one written test and in the day of the exam will be held the second written test, each for max. 40 points. |
For the process of oral examination it is necessary to obtain at least 22 points from each written tests.
Within the exercise of lectures will be necessary to prepare and defend a presentation project from the field of cosmetic chemistry and technology.
|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Student receives information on the status and roles of the cosmetics industry in health policy in the EU. He is familiar with characterization of the requirements, methods of security authorities and evaluation methods of safe cosmetic products on the EU market. He can explain the meaning of cosmetic ingredients cosmetic products, to propose a framework and principles for the formulation of production technology hygiene, perfume, aerosol and color cosmetics. The student has knowledge of the needs and possibilities of cosmetics for protecting the skin from excessive effects of sunlight.|
|The status and role of the cosmetics industry in health policy in the EU. Basic kinds of cosmetic products according to various criteria.
Basic requirements for cosmetics marketed in the EU.
Safety of cosmetics: "Responsible person", "Person dealing with security".
Cosmetics notification to the Central Portal of the EU (CPNP). Health surveillance of cosmetics.
RAPEX - Rapid Information System on dangerous cosmetics.
Stability and durability of cosmetics. Mandatory and voluntary information on the cosmetic packaging.
Specific cosmetic ingredients - species, chemical composition, characteristics, application.
Biologically active cosmetic ingredients - species, chemical composition, characteristics, application.
Microbiological and physico-chemical requirements for cosmetics.
Preservatives, antioxidants, and buffering agents in cosmetics.
Ecological and toxicological requirements for cosmetic substances. Potentially risky cosmetic ingredients.
Framework composition and method of manufacture personal-care products.
Framework composition and production technology of sunscreens.
Framework composition and method of manufacture of perfume cosmetics.
Framework composition and method of manufacture of aerosol cosmetics.
Framework composition and technology of decorative cosmetics.
