Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Deeper understanding between structure of organic compounds and mechanism of organic reactions. Relationship between structure and reactivity, stereoselective course of organic reactions.
Course contents:
Radical and nucleophilic substitution reactions on saturated C-atom. Additions on alkenic C=C double bonds. Enantioselective and diastereoselective eliminations. Stereochemistry of eliminations. Substitution reactions of aromatic compounds. Rearrangements. 1,2-Rearrangements, carbenium ions, carbens, carbenoids. Concerted reactions, cycloadditions, electrocyclic reactions and sigmatropic rearrangements.
