Assesment methods:
The two written examinations, each for max. 100 points will be held during the semester. To obtain the evaluation A it is necessary to have at least 92 points, to obtain the evaluation B it is necessary to have at least 83 points, for the evaluation C at least 74 points, for evaluation D at least 65 points and for the evaluation E at least 56 points. Credits will be awarded if the student gets at least 55 points for each test.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student is able to work independently with a special chemistry, food and nutrition software. He is capable to use the macro programming, spreadsheets and computer technique in food and nutrition praxis.
Course contents:
The use of computers in the implementation of the HACCP system.
Special chemical, food and nutritional software.
The use the macro-programming and spreadsheets.
Food and nutrition database - calculation of the of the nutrients content in food.
The calculation of nutritional status.
Making plan for catering.
Computer systems for the collection of data from measurement devices.
Work with the databases.
The Use Of OCR.
The use of the scanner in the TLC densitometry (Un-Scan-It).
The basics of typography, the standard ISO 690.
