Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim is to provide an overview of the current practical and theoretical knowledge on industrial crystallization from solutions with a focus on practical use.
 
Course contents:
Theoretical foundations of crystallization (solid - liquid equilibria, phase law, phase diagrams, material and energy balances of crystal growth kinetics, physical properties of the product). Crystallization facilities (crystallization methods, types of crystallizers, calculation of crystallization). Crystallization of some substances.
