|During the semester will be held one written test and in the day of the exam will be held the second written test, each for max. 40 points. For the process of oral examination it is necessary to obtain at least 22 points from each written tests.|
|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|Student receives information on the status and roles of the cosmetics industry in health policy in the EU, with a particular focus on the products of natural origin. He knows the chemical nature of the acquisition principles and characteristics of the most important substances of botanical, marine and partly of animal origin. He has knowledge of European standards for granting certificates "natural cosmetics", "biocosmetics". He is familiar with the ecological and toxicological aspects of natural ingredients in cosmetics.|
|Resource use for cosmetic products (those prepared by chemical synthesis, natural source materials, modified natural substances by chemical processes.
Unclear legal status of the terms "Controlled Natural Cosmetics", "Certified Natural Cosmetics". European standards for granting certificates "Natural Cosmetics ", "Biocosmetics" , "Organic Cosmetics" .
Chemical structure, properties and application of the most important substances of animal origin in cosmetics.
Chemical structure, properties and application of the most important marine substances in cosmetics.
Sources of natural substances of botanical origin.
Basic methods of obtaining active substances from medicinal plants and oilseeds.
