Students successfully pass if they take more than half points from written tests and points of seminar project
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students become familiar with principles and practical application of radioanalytical methods, particular advantages of indicator methods and interaction methods. They know basic procedures of measurement of high energy radiations and also specifity of practical operation with radionuclides.
Course contents:
Radioanalytical methods, importance, advantages, basic classification
Radioactivity, trace concentration and nuclear chemistry
Detection of nuclear radiation based on ionisation and excitation effects
Methods of isotope dilution, substoichiometric separations
Methods of isotope exchange
Methods using radioactive reagents, radiorelease methods
Activation analysis
Methods based on absorption and scattering
