Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students get possession of:
- knowledge of technology and properties of fossil raw materials with emphasis on crude oil,
- refinery hydrocarbon technology,
- motor fuels, lubricants, petroleum products and raw stocks for pretrochemistry production,
- connexions between technology, ecology and economics of petroleum manufacturing.

2.Primary refinery processes (allowance 4/0)
a.Separation processes

3.Thermal and catalytic hydrocarbon processes (allowance 10/0)
a.Thermal processes
b.Catalytic processes without hydrogen presence
c.Catalytic processes with hydrogen presence

4.Properties and parameters of light petroleum products (allowance 4/0)
a.Properties and parameters of gasolines
b.Properties and parameters of kerosene and diesel fuels
c.Biocomponents and additives improving motor fuels properties
d.Refinery hydrocarbon products as raw materials for petrochemistry

5.Properties and parameters of dark petroleum products (allowance 4/0)
a.Production, properties and parameters of lubricants
b.Heavy petroleum products, asphalts, fuel oils, their production and properties

6.Equipments and materials in refinery (allowance 2/0)
a.Energies, gases, water and steem
