Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Through lectures, interim tests, and seminars with the active input of students to explain the principles of mechanical pulping technology, semi-chemical pulping and chemical methods with major emphasis on technology harmonizing with the environment
Course contents:
Sequentially in place materials and their treatment, mechanical pulp from logs and chips, sulfite and kraft chemical pulping methods, washing, screening, pulping, chlorine-free bleaching of pulp, pulp dewatering and drying, principles, requirements and benefits of new technologies and their linkage with regeneration chemicals and heat.
