Assesment methods:
Fundamentals of Physics I course culminates in an exam. The notation is defined by the currently valid study regulations at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
For the participation in the exam the full attendance at the seminars, lectures and minimum score of 30 % in the ten electronic tests are required.

 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will acquire basic secodnary school knowledge of mass point mechanics, mechanics of rigid body, oscillations, fluid mechanics, thermics and molecular physics. He will learn to apply the laws of physics to solve simple physical problems from mechanics.
 
Course contents:
Physical quantities and physical units. Mechanics of a particle, of mass point system and rigid bodies. Work and energy. Conservation laws and their application. Vibration. Mechanics of Fluids. Molecular physics and thermodynamics.
