Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To teach students basics of chemical kinetics and of theory of chemical reactors,
methods of planning, measuring and evaluation of kinetic experiments and basic methods of chemical reactor design.
 
Course contents:
Derivation of kinetic models for elementary and complex chemical reactions in homogeneous systems
Idealized batch reactor
Plug flow reactor
Continuous stirred tank reactor
Measurement and evaluation of kinetic experiments in homogeneous and heterogeneous systems
Kinetic models of chemical reactors
Isothermal and non isothermal reactors for simple and complex reactions
