Assesment methods:
Successful passing of an entrance test (more than 56%) at the beginning of every laboratory work.
Get through all laboratory works.
Successful handing in of the reports of all laboratory works.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student has acquired experimental skills and practical experience in measuring basic physical properties in mechanics, thermodynamics and electromagnetism. He can treat and analyze experimental results, estimate the error/uncertainty of direct and indirect measurements at the high-school level. He has basic knowledge of electricity and magnetism, mechanical and electromagnetic waves and thermodynamics.
 
Course contents:
Principles of the safety of work in the laboratory of physics. Measurement of basic and derived physical quantities in mechanics (weight, time, length, volume, density), thermics (temperature, heat), electrostatics (electric capacitance) and electrodynamics (electric current, resistance and voltage). Statistical methods and data analysis.
