Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student is getting knowledge about inorganic elements and their compounds, she/he is able to define their properties and everyday usage and she/he knows their influence on living organisms and environment. Student knows basic organic compounds, their properties and influence on environment. She/he is able to describe basic biosubstances and their influence on everyday life.

2. p-elements C, Si, Al, N, P, O, S 
3. p-elements halogens, noble gases
4. p-elements acids, ammonia
5. p-elements glass, ozone, acid rains
6. d-elements metal, steel, corrosion, amalgam
7. basic organic compounds
8. atomic bonding, chemical formula of organic compounds
9. aliphatic hydrocarbons
10. aromatic hydrocarbons
11. derivates of hydrocarbons in ordinary life
12. biocompounds - lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, enzymes
13. life and health
