|The aim of the course is to clarify the history of the development of surveying activities and resources from their conception to the present day, following the development of engineering so that students can understand their meaning and significance, not only for professional activities, but also to the understand human history, civilization and culture.|
|•History of surveying as a scientific and educational discipline.
•Establishment and development of surveying, map creation, navigation and orientation in space.
•Surveying practices and equipments, ideas about the shape of the Earth, definition of a meter.
•Development of modern surveying, geodesy, cartography, cadastre.
•Humanization of surveying and engineering, their consolidation as an important expression of unity of nature and society and the expression of cultural sophistication. Significant figures in the history of surveying
