To complete successfully a test during semester, to finish an assignment at the end of semester, exam.

Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will gain knowledge on numerical methods for hyperbolic and parabolic equations used in models of fluid dynamics. Student will be able to apply the finite volume method for numerical solution of some models used in computational fluid dynamics and implement it in C language.

Course contents:
- Solution of linear transport equations.
- Solution of nonlinear conservation laws.
- Solution of hyperbolic systems.
- Shock and rarefaction waves, Riemann problem, up-wind method, Godunov method.
- The finite volume method for solution of advection-diffusion equations.
