Assesment methods:
During the semester all assignments and one written test must be submitted.
Subject is completed by passing oral and written exams.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The subject deepens knowledge of ventilation and air conditioning with the application of airing technique systems in buildings of industrial and technical character. It places emphasis on creating an internal microclimate for both humans as well as for the installed technology with specific parameters. It extends the theoretical knowledge of students in the areas of filtration and separation of the waste air. Determination of the pollutants balance in various industrial operations, airing technique unit calculation and design, distribution network design for forced central ventilation, decentralized ventilation and local exhaust ventilation are analysed in more detail.
Course contents:
• Airing technique as a part of creating an environment in the industrial operations. Hygienic requirements for the working environment. Legislation, laws and standards
• Pollutants in industry (excessive heat, dust, gases and vapors)
• Hygienic and technological ventilation
• Ventilation and warm air heating of hall buildings with a cold type of operation
• Ventilation hall buildings with warm and hot type of operation. Natural ventilation - aeration
• Introduction to the theory of sputtering. Movement of the dust particles and its distribution in space
• Ventilation hall buildings with dusty type of operation. Separation of dust and wood waste
• Introduction to the theory of gas and vapor removal. Local exhausting. Exhaust air purification and its further industrial utilisation
• Airing technique equipments for pneumatic transport of bulk materials
• Ventilation and partial air conditioning in small industrial operations
• Ventilation and air conditioning of operations with the indoor air parameters prescribed by indoor air technology (optical, food, textile industry)
• Boiler rooms ventilation
• Road and rail tunnels ventilation
