Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will become familiar with the sense of theory and techniques of the environmental technology of intelligent buildings (IB). He will obtain knowledge from the area of design of complex energy systems ensuring high demands on the environment quality and an automatic control of operation of the energy systems in IB with the necessary energy management.
 
Course contents:
 Characteristics of IB, energy performance, mutual relation of the capital and operational energy performance.
 Energy performance and requirements on parameters -- of building structures, central heating, heating-up of warm service water, ventilation and air-conditioning, artificial lighting and other energy equipment of buildings.
 Process of the energy audit of buildings in phase of proposal and design, the energy certification of buildings.
 Heat and cold sources, HVAC systems for IB.
 Energy systems for lighting of spaces in IB.
 Measuring and control of physical and energy parameters in the energy systems.
 Intelligent control of the operation of buildings.
 Building value and safety and security systems.
 Operation and maintenance, monitoring of the control of energy systems. Energy management.
