Assesment methods:
During the semester all assignments and one written test must be submitted.
Subject is completed by passing oral and written exams.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The subject deepens the knowledge of ventilation and provides theoretical and practical basics for teaching air conditioning. It applies knowledge of issues like fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer. It extends the theoretical knowledge in the area of determining the pollutants balance in the ventilated area, calculation and design of airing technique unit and distribution network with all its terminals. Calculation tasks are linked to solutions of graphics tasks as a part of the project assignments.
Course contents:
• Indoor microclimate of premises and its creation through ventilation systems
• Balance of pollutants in the ventilated area. Analytical methods of efficiency determination of the airing technique equipment - humidity load calculation, pollutants production calculation
• Thermodynamics of moist air - Psychrometry
• Basic heat and humid isobaric adjustments to moist air. Basic air treatment in airing technique unit for summer and winter adjustment
• Part of ventilation and air conditioning units _ 1st part (fans)
• Part of ventilation and air conditioning units _ 2nd part (filter, damper, regulator)
• Part of ventilation and air conditioning units _ 3rd part (heater, cooler, humidifier, dehumidifier)
• Part of ventilation and air conditioning units _ 4th part (heat recovery devices)
• Composition of ventilation and air conditioning units
• Application of airing technique units in selected objects of structural engineering
