Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students become familiar with knowledge of the subject sanitary installations - water supply and sewerage. They impart knowledge on internal water mains, pipelines and internal drainage. Students enhance their theoretical knowledge of hydraulics by dealing with general theoretical knowledge of physics of liquids and gases in solving numerical tasks. Graphical task -- development of design elements following the computational tasks - configuration of proposed systems water supply and sewerage.
 
Course contents:
• Protection of internal water supply, materials for water connections and internal water supply. Construction works for the internal water supply. Theory determining the factors of local losses and friction losses in flowing water.
• Water supply for hose firefighting equipment in buildings. Planning, designing and technical requirements.
• Calculation of internal water mains. Hydraulic assessment of internal distribution of water supply.
• Circulating of hot water (HW). Control of differential pressure on heels of HW distribution and circulation.
• Calculation of sewerage. Pumping wastewater. Wastewater pretreatment.
• Drainage of hard surfaces and paved parking areas. Line drainage.
• Building facilities for sewerage outside the structure. Location of external pipes and connectors.
• Planning and hydraulic assessment for the sewerage outside the structure.
