Assesment methods:
Active participation in Design Studio course unit. Processing Design Studio 1 to satisfactory graphics and technical level in the given range.
Student submits drafted coursework, including all attachments in accordance with the task sheet.

Assesment:
1. Site analysis and the massing study 20 points
2. Urban and architectural design (architectural site plan) 20 points
3. Architectural layout and circulation study (typology) 20 points
4. Construction design 20 points
5. Graphic expression 20 points
Total: 100 points = 100 %

Assessment of the course unit is in accordance with the University regulations and Code of studies, article no.16. Assessment grading scale consists of the following classification grades:

A – 92 - 100 %, B – 83 – 91 %, C – 74 – 82 %, D – 65 – 73 %, E – 56 – 64%, FX – 0 – 55 %

A - distinguished (outstanding results) = 1, B - excellent (above average results) = 1.5, C - good (average results) = 2, D - satisfactory (acceptable results) = 2.5, E - passing (results meet only minimum criteria) = 3, FX - fail (results do not meet minimum criteria) = 4
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The student will acquire skills in design, based on knowledge obtained in architectural and other theoretical and technical course units. The result of the creative approach will be the student´s design of a family house. Design Studio 1 is focused on independent, creative work and conceptual thinking.
 
Course contents:
The student is required to prepare architectural design of the family house at a specified level of architectural studies.
The basis for the Design studio's project is a zoning plan with a plot of land and spatial and functional regulations.
The student must respect: zoning plan, spatial and functional regulations, existing greenery, transport system, orientation of a plot of land, topography.
The part of architectural study is the design of a staircase, specifications of floors, roof and walls.
