Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Application of reliability theory in concrete constructions. Special lectures from the problems of causes and manifestation of mistakes and failures of concrete constructions. Proceedings of physical/structural assessment and evaluation of construction structures. Special diagnostic methods to gain data about properties of materials and structures to evaluate their reliability and lifespan. Static and dynamic analysis of structural members at repair and strengthening of buildings and civil engineering works. Compatibility of materials and technologies used at protection, repair and strengthening of concrete constructions
Course contents:
- Publications and standards from the problematic of reliability diagnostic of concrete
constructions. Safety, serviceability a durability of concrete constructions.
- Theory of reliability and risk engineering in technical systems. Methods of reliability
- Reliability conditions, reliability reserve and index.
- Application of theory of reliability in concrete constructions.
- Assessment and evaluation the reliability of construction constructions.
- Testing methods and field tests.
- Design of structures for accidental actions (earthquake, explosion, fire,..) Progressive
collapse of load bearing structure.
- Special repair procedures. Methods and materials for strengthening of concrete structures.
