The requirements for receiving credit are as follows: attendence, written exam and meeting the criteria for mandatory participation on lectures in accordance with the Study code of FA STU. The activity and work of student during seminars is graded throuought the semester and it accounts for 25% of the grade. Student that will not receive at least 14 points will not receive credit for this subject. The written exam accounts for 75% of grade. To receive credit for this subject student needs to earn 56% of all possible points. The final grade is based on the classification scale of Study code of FA STU. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Learning outcomes of the course unit: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Student will gain the ability to illustrate basic historical, social, cultural and key technical factors of the 19th century architecture with the goal of providing a wide overview on the architecture and its creators in chronological order (Classicism, Romanticism, Eclecticism, Historicism, Art Nouveau/Secession).He can define particular architectural styles and artistic movements by naming the most significant works, personalities, structures. Student can evaluate the contribution of 19th century architecture in Slovakia with reagard to specifics and characteristics of central Europe. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
