|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|The goal of this subject is to get an fundamental knowledge about contextual existence and diverse disposal of
Renaissance and Baroque from the beginning of their period and their territorial transfer. Introducing the creative
thoughts and philosophy of an important architects, constructors and artists. Ability to recognize artistic potential
of architecture, the typical sights of architecture, the differences between regional art and architecture
- Characteristic signs, morphology, philosophical essence of the Renaissance
The philosophy of humanism, a new sight on the world. Chronology, constructions, materials, cultural and
historical background. Functionality, utility and beauty.
- Italy as the cot of Renaissance
Italian Renaissance palace, profane architecture, characteristic of sacral buildings, representatives.
- Renaissance architecture in the country in Western Europe
Specific expression of the Renaissance in France, representatives and significant implementation of architecture.
Architecture in Spain, Portugal, Germany and England.
- Renaissance on the territory of Czech Republic
Cultural and social situation in the Czech Republic at the beginning of 16th century, periodization,
representatives, important buildings.
- Renaissance in Slovakia
Cultural transfer of the style, influence of surrounding countries, characteristics of period style, and
representatives of major centres. Exposal of period style into individual typologies.
- Art of Renaissance
The foundation of new forms of artistic expression, connectedness of fine arts, the representatives - painters,

Style tendencies at the end of the Renaissance period, exposal of mannerisms, the exposal of the tectonic and art,
