Assesment methods:
During the semester - 30 points (30 credit tests)
The necessary credit - 15 points.
After the end of the semester - exam (70 points)
Result: The sum of the points of the semester tests, specified tasks and exams.
A final assessment by the study of procedure STU.

Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To present the first exposure to statistical methods and data analysis. To understand the importance of a test of the general linear hypothesis in linear model.

Course contents:
Random events, probability measure. Conditional probebility, Bayes' theorem. Random variable, probability distribution, distribution function and density function. Characteristics of random variables

Probability distribution -- discrete (discrete uniform, binomial,geometric, Poisson) and
continuos (unirofm, normal exponecial, Chi-squared distribution, Student's distribution, F-distribution. Limits Theorems. Random vector. Independence of random variables, joint distribution, covariance and correlation matrix

Descriptive statistics. Random choice and estimation of mean and variance. Confidence intervals. A statistical hypothesis test. Some parametric and nonparametric tests, good-fit tests.
