Subject evaluation consists of 2 parts throughout the semester. Each part is rated by maximum of 50 points (student has to gain at least 25 points from each part), maximum of 100 points all together. The limit for final grade „A” is minimum of 92 points, limit for final grade „B” is at least 83 points. Minimum limit for final grade „C” is 74 points, 65 points for „D” and 56 points for „E” respectively.
|Learning outcomes of the course unit:|
|After successful completion, students will gain knowledge and skills in:
- utilization of simulation environment for system modeling principles,
- use of toolboxes, focusing on a particular area of their use,
- creation of own applications,
- control of the applications progress making use of graphical interactive development environment.
The student will become familiar with basic standards and regulations for safe work on electrical equipment. Profit thus vocational eligibility for the activities on selected technical electrical equipment at the level § 20 (informed worker) MPSVaR Decree Nr. 508/2009 Z.z. as amended. Passing subject student also obtains the security guards for work on electrical equipment in the laboratories of the school as required by the Act of the National Council Nr. 124/2006 Z.z. and the Decree. MPSVaR Nr. 508/2009 Coll, for a period of 5 years from the completion of the test.

Technical standardization and its importance with regard to safety in electrical engineering. The effects of electricity on the human body. First aid in case electrical shock. Marking and identification in electrical engineering. Safety requirements for attendance and work on electrical installations. Environment for electrical equipment. Protection against electric shock in electrical installations of building. Earthing arrangements and protective conductors. Protection of persons, electrical and electronic devices against harmful effects of the static electricity. Lightening protection system and protection against overvoltages. Fundamental principles of fire protection.
7. Introduction to MATLAB.
8. Simulation environment for system dynamics analysis.
9. Graphic interface in MATLAB
10. Modelling of given systems.
11. MATLAB GUI.
12. Creating of own applications in MATLAB.
