Assesment methods:
Active attendance at exercises. Development of case study (10p). Experimental exercises at training nuclear reactors, preparing laboratory reports (15p). Three problem-solving tests (15p). Final theoretical test (60p).
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Student will gain theoretical knowledge in the field of nuclear reactor kinetics and dynamics. Experimental exercises at various training nuclear reactors will be performed in order to verify the gained theoretical knowledge.
 
Course contents:
Point Kinetics Equation. Power Coefficients of Reactivity. Xenon Poisoning. Samarium Build-up. Fuel Burnup. Perturbation Theory. Theory of Control Rod. Neutron Detection. Reactivity and Neutron Flux Measurement Methods.
