In the course of the semester students will return problems resulting in max 20 points,
one laboratory measurement for 10 point, the rest of the points comes from the final exam.
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Students will acquire basic principles of heat transfer, convection and radiation and will learn to model the heat propagation using simple analytical models and using numerical techniques.
Classification of thermokinetic processes; heat conduction - the physical mechanism and its differential equation; stationary heat conduction without heat sources; internal sources of heat; non-stationary heat transfer; the finite elements method; heat conduction - its physical mechanism and basic quantities; differential equations for mass transfer; scaling laws; overview of experimental study of the heat convection; heat radiation; design of heat exchangers.
