Assesment methods:
Student has to perform all experiments in the laboratory, hand in a protocol and pass one test with at least 56 % points.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
After successful finish the student will be able to perform basic immunochemical experiments, he/she will understand the principles behind each of the methods and will be able to suggest similar experiments for the detection of other antigens or antibodies. He/she will understand the sources of error of individual methods and will critically evaluate the result of the experiment.
 
Course contents:
Basic knowledge about selected immunochemical methods. Liquid serological methods. Immunoelectrophoretic methods in agarose gel. Immunoblotting methods.

This subject is taught in one block and not during the whole semester. The exact selection of methods is dependent on available material.
