Learning outcomes of the course unit:
To undestand applicability of the methods of spectral analysis for structure elucidation of more complex molecules of aliphatic, aromatic compounds and heterocycles.

Course contents:
Basic terms of spectral methods
Infrared spectroscopy
Ultraviolet spectroscopy
Mass spectrometry
Nuclear magnetic resonance
Advanced techniques of infrared, ultraviolet spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance.
Determination of more complicated structures of aliphatic, aromatic and heterocyclic compounds with regard of their symetry and tautomerism.
Less frequent used techniques (Raman, Mossbauer, fluorescent spectroscopy, NQR, EPR, ORD, CD, X-ray, etc.)
