Learning outcomes of the course unit:
On completion of the course students will achieve knowledge of geometric modeling of elements of real world, they will understand the basic concepts of principles of various mappings and projections and they will be able to construct images of geometric objects with the help of various mapping methods.
 
Course contents:
- Principles of mappings and projections (parallel projection, Monge projection, axonometric projection, central projection, linear perspective).
- Surfaces of technical practice (surfaces of revolution, ruled surfaces, helical surfaces, translational surfaces, sphenoid surfaces, canal surfaces).
- Analytical expression of curves and surfaces in technical practice.
