Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The objective of the course: After introducing the students with the basic sociological concepts, they will be ready to make their own sociological mini- projects as an equally valued part of future engineering projects. They will be also inspired to study scientific and technical study programmes.

Course contents:
Sociological perspective. Sociological questions, abstract thinking (imagination), formalization and diagrams in mechanical engineering, technical intelligence in social interaction.

The Origin of sociology. The prehistory of social thinking in the context of the history of technology and its future. Interaction, social structure, visual sociology, the documentation of one's own 'locus' (photography, sociological interview).
